The Historic Linwood Cemetery

In collaboration with the City of Columbus, the Historic Linwood Foundation works to conserve, enrich and introduce Linwood Cemetery to the community as a significant cultural asset and a beautiful oasis in the heart of Columbus. Established in 1828, It is an iconic historic site situated less than a mile from Uptown Columbus and the Riverwalk. Linwood’s vast 28 acres function as an event venue, an outdoor retreat, a classroom setting and, most importantly, a place to remember our city's rich history and welcome a bright future.

Linwood Cemetery is the final resting place for thousands, including soldiers, local government officials, business leaders trailblazers and more. Many of those buried at Linwood are associated with names recognizable throughout Columbus.
